Child friendly Madrid
The most visited city in Spain, Madrid, is where the locals eat 12 grapes each when the clock strikes 12 on New Years Day in the belief that it will bring them good luck. Sometimes referred to as Los Madriles, it is a vibrant colorful city to take the jumping jellybeans in your life (aka the children).
The city's throbbing amusement park, Parque de Atracciones, is a veritable one park fits all with different sections for nature, mechanization and total time out relaxation areas. There is a child size mini roller coaster, a slow boat ride through a real jungle and even a zeppelin for the kiddy thrill seeker. Nearby in the Casa de Campo zoo and aquarium, the kids can get up close and personal with 6,000 animals such as an anteater and a panda.
Don't panic, as the humans and the animals are separated by wide moats. The stuffed animals can be found in the Natural Science Museum where the children can play Albert Einstein in a laboratory set up just for kids.On the outskirts of Madrid you will find Parque Warner, a crazy Looney Tunes character themed park with heaps of water rides to entertain the children.
Madrid–Barajas International Airport is where you will land if you are flying into Madrid. From here grab a airport taxi or transfer making sure that they provide the necessary children seating such as booster or baby seats to accommodate your tribe for the 9 km ride into the city.
