Child friendly Majorca

 

Majorca is the land of olives, sobrasada sausage and fantastic wines to slurp on.  In spite of its reputation for being a hedonistic party destination, there are some gorgeous places to be found that children are welcomed, if not desired, over the riff raff looking for a good time out.  As it is quite often too hot for walking, locate the friendly family taxi company that has at their disposal a bounty of diverse child safety car seats such as a booster seat for your toddler, or if holidaying with a new born, has access to a baby seat.

 

Get the kids busy building sand castles, instead of just throwing sand at their siblings, on the uncrowded beaches of Puerto Pollensa or Cala d'Or.  There is an enormous waterpark at El Arenal, as well as Alcudia and Magalluf, for the children that delight in sliding down big slopes of gushing water. 

 

Go-cart racing is for when the beach has lost some of its attraction for the kids, or you could take the children to gawk at dolphins and sea lions performing at Marineland in Costa d'en Blances. Don't forget to take advantage of your hotel's kids club and many have children playgrounds for them to haunt, when you have had enough of them by your side.

 

Palmade Majorca Airport is a short trip of 8km east of the city and one of the busiest airports so ensure that you grab an airport taxi or airport transfer with car seat to get to your accommodation.
