Terms of Use

Who we are

Taxibambino.com is operated by Avaren Group AB, based in Nacka, Sweden. We help families book taxis and airport transfers with certified child car seats in over 150 cities worldwide.

By using this website or making a booking you agree to these terms.

How we work

Depending on where you're travelling, your booking is handled in one of two ways:

  • Own fleet:  In select destinations Taxibambino provides the transfer directly using our own managed vehicles. We are the transport provider for these bookings.

  • Partner network:  In most destinations we connect you with a trusted third-party transport provider — primarily Welcome Pickups, Suntransfers or GetTransfer. For these bookings, your transport contract is with the partner, not with Taxibambino. We act as a booking facilitator only.

Your booking confirmation will tell you which applies. If you're not sure, email us at partnerships@taxibambino.com before travel.

Your booking

  • A booking is confirmed when you receive a written confirmation from us by email.

  • Please check all details are correct — passenger numbers, child ages and weights, flight details, and pickup location. We cannot accept liability for issues caused by inaccurate information you provide.

  • Child car seat requests are subject to local availability. We confirm the seat type (infant carrier, forward-facing, high-back booster, or booster cushion) — not a specific brand or model.

  • For partner bookings, we pass your seat requirements to the partner. We cannot guarantee the exact EU standard of a seat provided by a partner vehicle.

 

Cancellations

  • Own fleet bookings:  Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup. No refund for cancellations within 24 hours.

  • Partner bookings:  The partner's own cancellation policy applies. We'll tell you the terms when you book.

  • No-shows are treated as late cancellations — no refund will be issued.

 

Liability for partner bookings

When your journey is fulfilled by a third-party partner, Taxibambino is not the transport provider and accepts no liability for any case including:

  1. The partner driver failing to appear, or arriving late

  2. Vehicle substitution by the partner

  3. A partner failing to provide the requested child car seat

  4. Any injury, loss, or damage occurring in a partner vehicle

  5. Missed flights, hotel costs, or other consequential losses

  6. or any case where you interact or communicate with our partners

 

In all cases, our maximum liability to you for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for that specific booking.

Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or for any liability that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Swedish or EU consumer law.

Complaints about a partner booking

If something goes wrong with a partner booking, contact the partner directly in the first instance — they are the transport provider for that journey. We're happy to help escalate where we can, but resolution is the partner's responsibility.

Child car seats — important

  • For own fleet bookings, we take reasonable steps to ensure certified seats (ECE R44/04 or ECE R129 standard) are available and correctly installed.

  • For partner bookings, seat certification and installation are the partner's responsibility.

  • Always inspect a provided seat before placing your child in it. If you have any concern about the seat's condition or fit, you have the right to decline the journey.

  • Car seat laws vary by country. Our website guides are for general information only and are not legal advice. Always check local requirements before travelling.

 

General

  • These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden.

  • We may update these terms at any time. The current version is always at taxibambino.com.

Privacy Policy

We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it. We are the data controller under GDPR: Avaren Group AB, Nacka, Sweden.

 

What we collect

  1. Booking information:  Necessary details only to fullfil the service

  2. Child information:  Necessary details only to fullfil the service

  3. Payment information:  Handled by our payment provider — we do not store card details.

  4. Website usage:  IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on the site. Used to improve the website.

 

How we use your information

  • To process and fulfil your booking (own fleet driver)

  • To communicate your booking details to the transport provider (own fleet driver)

  • To contact you about your booking or reply to your enquiries

  • To improve the website and our service

  • To comply with legal obligations

 

We process bookings under contract performance as our legal basis. Where we use data for other purposes, we rely on legitimate interests or your consent.

Who we share your data with

We share the minimum information needed to fulfil your booking:

  • Transport partners:   (Welcome Pickups, Suntransfers, or partners and our own fleet drivers).

  • Payment providers:  Via partners

  • Analytics providers:  Aggregated or anonymised data only, to understand website usage.

  • Legal authorities:  Where required by law.

 

We do not sell your data to anyone.

Children's data

We collect children's ages and weights only to match the correct car seat to your booking. This data is not used for any other purpose, not shared beyond the transport provider fulfilling your booking, and deleted in line with our standard retention periods. We do not collect personal data from children under 13 for any other purpose.

Cookies

  • Essential cookies:  Required for the site to work. Always active.

  • Analytics cookies:  Help us understand how visitors use the site. Active only with your consent.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings at any time.

How long we keep your data

  • Booking records: 7 years (accounting and legal requirements)

  • Customer communications: 3 years

  • Website analytics: aggregated and anonymised, no fixed period

 

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Correct inaccurate data

  • Request deletion of your data (where no legal obligation requires us to keep it)

  • Object to or restrict how we process your data

  • Receive your data in a portable format

  • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

To exercise any of these rights, email partnerships@taxibambino.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish data protection authority:

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) and restricted staff access. No method of internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

Some of our partners operate outside the EU/EEA. Where data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
