With over 2,000 archeological sites, 70 cultural centers of various persuasions and 60 museums, Jerusalem is not just a bible story come to life for the kids to explore.  With all of these intriguing sights to see you will definitely have to grab a family taxi at some point so ensure that the family cab is equipped for your precious family cargo.  Check that there are enough carbooster seats to accommodate the squirming bottoms of toddlers or a babyseat if you have a newborn on board.

 

Take the kids on a Jerusalem Scavenger Hunt to get their little brains working, visit the City of David and hike through Hezekiah's water tunnel where in ancient times water was smuggled into the city during the Assyrian siege.  Here you will also be able to let the kids play archaeologist in a mound of rubble from the Temple Mount.

 

Visit the petting zoo, Tisch Family Biblical Zoo and let the children climb sculptures or get silly in the playground.  The Bloomfield Science Museum is loaded up with hands on exhibits for kids' itchy fingers, whilst the Botanical Gardens or one of the parks will give the kids a chance to run around in freedom letting off some pent up energy.
