At Taxibambino we operate two ways depending on where you're travelling. In select destinations we run our own directly managed fleet — vehicles we source, equip, and quality-check ourselves. Everywhere else, we work exclusively with Welcome Pickups, one of the most established pre-booked transfer networks in the world, operating in 350+ cities with vetted local drivers and consistent vehicle standards.
Vehicle Types
Four vehicle categories are available across the our network. Which category you're offered depends on your destination and group size. All categories accommodate child car seats — specify your seat type when selecting a vehicle.
STANDARD SEDAN
Standard Sedan
Seats: 1–3 passengers
Luggage: 2 large suitcases + 2 carry-on
Car seat: Infant carrier, forward-facing, or booster
Typical vehicles: Toyota Prius, VW Passat, Skoda Octavia
Best for: Couples, small families, solo travel
BUSINESS / EXECUTIVE SEDAN
Business / Executive Sedan
Seats: 1–3 passengers
Luggage: 3 large suitcases + carry-on
Car seat: All types — ISOFIX where vehicle-equipped
Typical vehicles: Mercedes E-Class, BMW 5-Series, Audi A6
Best for: Families wanting more comfort, longer transfers
MINIVAN / MPV
Minivan / MPV
Seats: 4–7 passengers
Luggage: 5–6 large suitcases
Car seats: Multiple seats — specify all children at booking
Typical vehicles: Mercedes V-Class, VW Caravelle, Ford Galaxy
Best for: Families with multiple children, groups with luggage
MINIBUS (LARGE GROUP)
Minibus
Seats: 8–16 passengers
Luggage: Large boot — suitable for extended family groups
Car seats: Available — confirm count and types at booking
Typical vehicles: Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, VW Crafter
Best for: Extended families, multi-family groups, school trips
Child Car Seat Installation — How It Works in Each Vehicle
Every vehicle in our network is assessed for car seat compatibility before being accepted onto the platform. Here's how installation works across the four vehicle categories:
ISOFIX anchor points
ISOFIX is a rigid metal anchor system built into the seat frame and the vehicle body, providing a direct mechanical connection between the child seat and the vehicle. Business sedans and newer minivans in our network are predominantly ISOFIX-equipped. Standard sedans from 2015 onwards are generally ISOFIX-equipped in rear positions. Minibuses are vehicle-dependent — confirm at booking if ISOFIX installation is required for an infant carrier.
Seatbelt installation
All four vehicle categories support seatbelt installation for forward-facing seats, high-back boosters, and booster cushions. Seatbelt-installed infant carriers are also used where ISOFIX is not available or the specific carrier does not require ISOFIX. Our drivers are trained in correct belt routing for each seat type.
Booking multiple seats
For bookings involving more than one child — common in minivan and minibus transfers — specify each child's age and weight at booking. We will confirm the combination of seat types available in the vehicle and whether all seats can be installed simultaneously in the configuration requested.
