Crete

Book your family taxi in Crete with baby seat

Child friendly Crete

Once the home of the powerful Minoans, Crete dates back to the 7th Millennium BC. The kids will be happy, as Hercules has already vanished any nasty creatures on Crete in honor of Zeus according to the stuff of legends. Ancient treasures, mythical creatures and olive trees are all icons of this island in the sun with the clearest coastal water in the whole of Europe.

Get in a family taxi with the children all settled in their own car seat, baby seat or whatever child seat they need, and head off to the old town of Chania and explore winding alleys and lanes that will keep the kids running around in circles for at least an hour before the cry of "I am hungry" resonates from gob smacked mouths.

The local bustle in the harbor of fishermen, boats and quaint cafes has something to amuse everyone in the clan.  If you have a budding historian amidst the tribe, go to Knossos where you can even lose the kids if you want to amongst the ruins. Take a family cab to Aqua World Aquarium, Hersonnisos where the little family members can gape at alligators, eels, turtles, stingrays and fish whilst escaping the heat of the midday sun.

There are numerous water parks for the kids to dive into and the beaches are perfect for wading in, if swimming is not on the "I can do" agenda without arm floaties.

There are 3 main airports on Crete, Heraklion, Chania and Sitia with services from Thessaloniki and Athens all accessible with airport transfer or taxi with car seat.
