Airport transfer and taxi with car seat in Berlin Airports

Berlin used to have four airports - Tegel Airport, Schönefeld Airport, Tempelhof Airport, and Brandenburg Airport - of which only two were operational. Nowadays, the latter handles most of the air traffic in the German capital.

Tegel Airport used to be the main Airport in Berlin before it was legally decommissioned as an airfield after a mandatory transitional period on May 4, 2021.

The Schönefeld name and IATA code for this airport ceased to exist on October 25, 2020, with large parts of its infrastructure being merged into the Brandenburg Airport.

Tempelhof Airport was also closed in 2008 and is now just a historical landmark. This means Brandenburg Airport is the only operational international airport presently in Berlin.

Brandenburg Airport is on its way to becoming the third busiest airport in Germany, with an estimated annual passenger number of around 34 million, making it one of the top fifteen busiest airports in Europe.

In this post, you will learn about airport transfer, airport taxis with car seats, where to book a safe taxi with small children, and some things to do at and around Berlin Airports.
