Child friendly Thessaloniki

 

Put a sunhat and sun cream on the little members of your family when in Thessaloniki, if you don't want to end up with beetroot colored babies. Dodge the backpacker onslaught of hedonism and take the kids for a meander through this historic city of museums and let the kids gawk at the monuments such as the famous White Tower on the waterfront where they can have a ride in a horse-drawn carriage.

 

Grab a family taxi and spend the day at "Waterland" where the children can literally go mad splashing in 150 acres of gardens and water pools or chase the animals at the animal farm on site. Make sure your family cab is child friendly with enough car seats or booster seats to accommodate your hoard of precious cargo.

 

You can visit the Thessaloniki Zoo on Kedrinou Hill, but do make sure you use a family cab for this adventure, as the hill will wear out little legs very quickly.  The Magic Park is for balmy evenings where bumper cars will give your kids hours of entertainment.

 

Thessaloniki Airport sits 14 km southeast from the city center 15 min with an airport transfer or taxi, so on arrival head straight to a airport taxi catering to the ages of your children, from babies to toddlers with car seats.
